M E R R Y   C H R I S T M A S!

The year is roundin out and coming to a close. Classics And Rods hopes that everyone had a prosperous 2006 and may it continue into 2007. C. A. R.s has a few events coming up the beginning of next year, keep updated on the forums for those as well. As for recent events from the past, be sure to keep checking the 'photos' section as it will have all the shots we got to share with you guys.

In the upcoming weeks and beyond expect a few new items to be added to the site, including a quarterly or monthly newsletter feature that will be sent out over email as well as updated carshow information.

We hope everyone has a great holiday season and we’ll see ya on the streets in 2007

-11/9/06-

Looks like the rest of November is going to be somewhat quiet, it’ll let you guys rest up and knock out some projects for the December events that look quite abundant! If you have projects going down, get some pics and post them up on the gallery for all us to check out. ALSO! Remember the Classics And Rods’ STORE is open 24/7/365, this is a good place to grab all your gear and schwag, we have seen quite a bit of it out and its awesome to walk around shows and events seeing the colors goin. Rachel (Chazen) mentioned one guy said he always visits the photo sections of the site to catch up on shows and especially right after.

The Christmas party has been underway as well. Joe and Karen once again open up their home to us and host one hell of a Christmas party! Just like the Classics And Rods family, this event gets bigger and bigger every year. All members, non-members and their families are more than welcome to come and hang out with us, and see how we roll… pooltable, foosball, ping-pong, darts, big screen TV, music and beer to keep everyone busy. A potluck list has been started, so head over to the thread to check out the anticipated eatins and get signed up to bring your masterpiece dish. Karen starts in with this massive project a day or 2 earlier with cooking and decorating so any and all help is greatly appreciated! For any questions, just lay down a post there and all questions will be answered.

Until then, Keep Yesterday’s Classics And Rods to Today’s Roads….

But we got some great pictures to share with you, and they are up and ready so be sure to check them out in the photos section. The cruise out (and back) was very nice.. you'll see pictures of that as well. Big thanks goes out to the Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce for doing such a great job each year making sure this show goes off like it does as definately one of the highest quality shows left around. Keep it up everyone, and we'll see you out there next year!

Wurst the best; Overton next!

Well the 5th Annual Rod and Custom Car Show wrapped up this past weekend during "Wurstfest" in Boulder City and the show was bigger than ever, with over 200 cars displayed on the grass at Bicentennial Park, put on by the Hustlers. This has grown to be one of our favorite shows so everyone is looking forward to next years run. Check back soon for all the pictures from this to be added in our photos section. Moving on....

THIS WEEKEND is the very nice 8th Annual "Fall Festival Car and Motorcycle Show." We will be hitting this one together for our 3rd year in a row. The cruise is fantastic.. we usually take the lakeside scenic route with a detour on the way back through the Valley of Fire to get some stunning pictures with the cars. Anyone that reads this is urged to join us! The show is this Saturday, October 7th in Overton, NV 9am - 4pm at Overton Park (on the grass!). We will be meeting at the Chevron on Lake Mead PKWY (Henderson) just below Calico Ridge (on the way to the lake) at 5:45 AM (yes, that early come cruise with us!). EVERYONE is invited to join us. If you can't make it to the station that early then do your best so meet us at the show. For more details please check the events calendar or the thread in the forums. After this our next event is the CAR Halloween Party. Details on that are also on the forums. See you all there!

Congratulations! To our own Richard Johnson for his placement in this weekend's Super Run roaring engines and slow drag competition. Rich, from Ely, made the trip down to take home the 2nd and 3rd place ranks respectively with his rockin' 1958 Apache . Check back soon as we will have all the Super Run photos along with videos of these events that are the only things that can really do the justice. Congrats again Rich! And cheers to everyone who made it to the show. Without the crowd, it would be nothing. See you all next year!

Greaser Review
Show Season in FULL SWING!

Just a quick update, the pics are all updated, including this weekends very nice "Rod and Kustom Reunion" show put on by Greaser and family to benefit the Basic High School MCJROTC. It was the first show that we couldn't use Timet field, but Greaser was able to make the most of it just up the street. We were, however, disappointed in the decision to cancel the open header contest. Despite advertising otherwise, they just couldn't let it happen (Sorry Rich, we know thats what you came down for) but it still turned out to be a great show for everyone, and for an even greater cause. See you all at this one next year!

Now, on to the future. If you are registered with our site then you're able to view the "events" calendar which we do what we can to keep fully updated with everything CAR related. If you've taken a look lately you can see the next few months are just jam-PACKED with show after show listed with full event details so it's safe to say the season has officially begun! And if you haven't seen, be sure you've registered with us and have checked it out. Also, as a registered member, if you see a show or other CAR event missing then you are able to add it to the calendar yourself, complete with all the details -- so check it out! And keep updated here at ClassicsAndRods.com. Next up looks to be the Golden Memories' "Spring Fling" at Nevada Landing the 8th and 9th. Until next time, Keep Cruisin'!
