My life in multimedia arts began in high school around the turn of the century. At this point I had been playing around with primitive website skeletons and templates but had never made anything too much of interest. Once enrolled in the schools architect program, however, my plans for the future were kick-started into motion. Seeing the capabilities of autoCAD opened up the world of computer graphics and design to me though, ironically, not with an architectural motive. The 3-D modeling we did there got me started on various topics including, but not limited to, logo/graphic design, animation, UI design, and more. From there my elective courses filled themselves. I took all the core classes that were available throughout high school until I graduated from there; Then it was on to CCSN.

I've been enrolled at CCSN for three years now (I'm currently in my 6th semester). I'm in my final class to complete the AAS Web Design degree and will also be finishing the AAS Graphic Design degree this Fall (2007). I couldn't choose between the two so I've just been covering courses for both degrees from the beginning.

Upon completion of these degrees is when I plan to start my search for a career in the field. I'm currently employed full time as an Electronics Sales Manager at a retail chain. I write my schedule so it allows me to be as flexible as I need be while also being a full time student simultaneously, so it all works out for now. As for a future career, I'm thinking something along the lines of web development with maintenance and design as the primary workload, but really anything dealing with the web or any graphic design would please my passion. I've also considered advertising (magazines, billboards, etc.) but have not looked into those fields at this point too much (though the time is coming up soon!). So until then, this is where I stand as of January 2007.
